Best in Passo Tonale

Reviewed 6 May 2014

We really enjoyed the Hotel Gardenia and have stayed here twice; it has a really nice atmosphere. We’ve been to Passo Tonale a few times and stayed in the Miramonte and Eden previously – the Gardenia is definitely the best.
They held a loopy party on one of the evenings where all the blokes in the staff dressed up as women and danced all the way round the dining room, which was hilarious and really good fun - I think they do this every week! They also did a prize giving (with decent prizes, last time the prize was skis!).
The rooms we had weren’t the best but they were doing a lot of alterations before we got there so they might be updated now (I think they have a swimming pool there now too).
The people who owned the hotel were amazing and really couldn’t do enough for you.
The food was very good and I can’t complain about anything in that department, we had a package with breakfast and dinner. We asked to be moved as we were placed in a dining room next to a very loud family and they moved us straight away without any trouble at all.
There’s a Spar shop opposite and just up the road on the right there’s a place called La Vogila that does cakes, coffee and amazing cocktails – I’d definitely recommend going here! There are 2 areas of slopes, one up behind the cocktail bar and a main area where they ran you up to in the mornings.
