The Hotel Delle Alpi and Grand Hotel Paradiso are stunning properties verging on the Valbiolo gondola, while the Hotel Flora Alpina (adjacent to the Valena chairlift) takes the glamour down a peg or two, but cranks convenience up another few notches. Staying here you'll step out to the north to doorstep skiing - and to the south onto the main street.

Serving up a slice of the quiet life, Hotel Orchidea's 200m further from centre, while Hotel Locanda Locatori, accessed by shuttle, is well clear of the centre - perfect if you'd prefer to give the Passo nightlife a wide berth and explore Italy's rustic roots.
