Group skiing with Sno

It's hard to beat a week away with friends or family in the mountains. Spectacular scenery and excitement in the daytime, evenings of well-earned food, wine and relaxation in your chalet, or out in the thick of the après ski scene.

Clients with experience organising group ski trips told us that choosing the resort and accommodation (along with rounding up all the deposits and travel details) can feed akin to "herding cats", so at Sno we have dedicated specialists, to ensure that finding and booking your group ski deal is (almost) as exciting as the holiday itself!

Group Chalets

After an exhilarating day on the piste, relax together in a private chalet. Chalet catering includes more than the usual “breakfast & dinner” of a hotel. Enjoy afternoon tea & cake straight off the piste, staving off hunger until home cooked dinner usually including free wine! Properties start from an intimate number sleeping just 6, up to 50+. Book sole-occupancy and get a private host all to yourselves.

Group Hotels

If you prefer a little privacy and space from each other, plus extra facilities like a pool or spa, a hotel is an excellent choice. Our carefully selected options range from cheap 2 star right through to luxury 5 star in all the best destinations. With B&B, half board or full board, you have more catering options. Ask about our chalet-hotels which combine the catering of a chalet with the space of a bigger hotel.

Self-Catered Groups

For independent travel, browse accommodation-only and call to ensure you still get discounts for booking in a group. Some packages can be booked self-drive with ferry crossing for your car included, although flight based packages can attract the best group reductions. On a super-tight budget, large self-catered apartments sleep 8 or 10, and it’s possible to book several close together.

Sno Secret

  • Chalets: know your party size, as finding an exact-fit chalet is key to getting the best price.
  • Hotels: pick a hotel or chalet-hotel instead of a chalet, if you have stragglers who may try to book later.
  • Budget: for the absolute cheapest holiday, drive there & buy shopping before you go up the mountain.
  • Organisers: use our guide to organising a group ski trip and call our experts for help on 020 7770 6888.

Best skiing for "mixed ability" groups

Ensure everyone gets the most out of their trip, with our guide to the best resorts for groups.
Below is a précis of the most popular:

  • 3 Valleys (France) - the biggest ski area in Europe. Resorts, après ski & terrain to suit everyone. Best: Meribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens.
  • Espace Killy (France) - superb skiing & a snow-sure glacier. Great après. Best: Tignes and Val d'Isere
  • Paradiski (France) - every type of skiing you could wish for, with two tiered resorts connected by the Vanoise Express. Best: La Plagne and Les Arcs.
  • Chamonix (France) - ski areas all along the valley. Arguably the world’s best skiing & après. Distances between areas can mean less skiing together as a group, but more stories to share over après.
  • Les Deux Alpes (France) - piste & off-piste skiing on a magnificent scale. Easier runs at top of mountain, so even non-advanced ski in the best snow. Great views.
  • St Anton (Austria) - known for most famous après ski in the world. Skiing and snowboarding just as impressive. Off piste is epic!
  • Kitzbuhel (Austria) - idyllic resort, chic village and perfectly groomed slopes with facilities and nightlife to match. Good value.
  • Mayrhofen (Austria) - typical Tirolean vibe with an exciting après scene. Part of Zillertaler Superski pass with a massive 639km of terrain.
  • Milky Way (Italy) - vast linked domain. Cruise from one pretty village to the next enjoying cuisine & local wine in sunny Italy. Best: Sauze d'Oulx and Sestriere.
  • Dolomiti Superski (Italy) - biggest ski area in the world, with 12 resorts and 1200km of slopes, it’s a huge adventure waiting to be had. Italian food, wine & hospitality amongst the majestic Dolomites. Best: Selva, Corvara, Canazei and Val di Fassa.
  • The 4 Valleys (Switzerland) - Verbier in particular is a chic big-skiing and big-partying favourite & Zermatt with its extensive skiing and cosmopolitan flair is a little less bling, more old-money.
  • Grandvalira (Andorra) - relatively newly linked, a real alternative to the Alps. At 205km it rivals the best in Europe and can be better value. Best: Pas De La Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter
