On an annual basis, Les Arcs's average frozen precipitation is 500cm.
This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with 143 snow guns or "cannons" on 22km of piste - that's over 11% of the total length of Les Arcs trails.
Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
