St Anton Christmas holidays

The ski capital of Austria, St Anton is a popular destination for Christmas holidays. A place where you can experience a traditional Austrian Christmas combined with some of the more snow-sure skiing in Austria and perhaps the most legendary après ski in the world!

It’s not only the stunning snow covered scenery that makes St Anton look amazing at Christmas, the resort is festooned with light covered Christmas trees that create a charming, almost magical festive feel. You can wander through traditional Christmas markets in the lead up to Christmas – brilliant for stocking fillers and chalet decorations, as well as go skating on the ice rink, floodlit tobogganing or take a horse drawn sleigh ride around the resort.

When it comes to après ski, Austria really knows how to party and St Anton’s famous array of après ski bars have festive celebrations to suit everyone. With a high ski area (altitudes up to up to 2,811m), St Anton offers a great ski experience in December with excellent snow for Christmas skiing (see historic snow graph opposite).
