Pas de la Casa New Year holidays
Party is probably the main thing you’ll hear about Pas de la Casa at New Years; this is a super place for a cheap, boozy group trip but it’s not just the après that has people returning here again and again. While those after a quieter New Year’s tend to prefer neighbouring Soldeu, there’s nothing to say you have to burn the candle at both ends in Pas - turn in early and you’ll love the empty slopes on January 1st.
If it is a big night you’ve come searching for, you won’t have to look far: Underground Bar is the place to be (just off the main street) and the pubs and clubs in the resort centre usually stay open til 5am on NYE.
Oxford Street’s January sales will be long forgotten when you’ve seen the duty free offerings on Avenida D’Encamp and Carrer Majo. If you’re looking for somewhere to spend that Christmas cash, pass your evening browsing perfumeries, like one of the many Julia branches, jewellery shops and familiar high street brands including Diesel, Mango and Roxy.
And then for the skiing… this resort has the highest slopes, the best snow record and the biggest ski area in Andorra, with recent seasons offering a Happy New Year full of the white stuff.
