With its amazing après ski scene it will come as no surprise to anyone to learn that New Year’s Eve in Arinsal is truly an evening to remember. You’ll have a hard time deciding where to spend the evening with so many great choices- it’s definitely worth doing some groundwork and researching a few potential venues in the days before. They say that forewarned is forearmed, and with fancy dress often the order of the day it may be worth squeezing your best outfit into your suitcase at the expense of an extra pair of ski socks! El Cau always lives up to its reputation as one of Andorra’s best party locations- you’d be wise to get there soon after the slopes close if you fancy some food as well- and Quo Vadis and Ciscos are also great value. Everyone usually congregates on the streets outside for the countdown- the great community spirit will soon see you making new friends under the stars. There’s nothing like the fresh air and snow if you’re feeling a little worse for wear on New Year’s Day, and there are a massive range of on mountain restaurants that’ll serve a great breakfast before you hit the slopes- a few pancakes at the Snow Bar on the hill in Arinsal will be just the ticket.
