Weather and Man Made Snow in Kitzbuhel
On an annual basis, Kitzbuhel's average frozen precipitation is 180cm.
This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with 500 snow guns or "cannons" on 84km of piste - that's over 50% of the total length of Kitzbuhel trails.
Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
