Overview - apartment description - Wiesenheim Apartments description

NB: while the Supplier rating is 3 Star, the Official rating is 2 Star.

The Wiesenheim Apartments offer great no-frills accommodation, just a stone's throw from the slopes. Perched above Selva's traditional centre, the village and Nives ski lift are a 10-minute walk away. If you want access to the mountains from the main gondola, then jump on the resort shuttle and you'll be there in no time. The apartments themselves are cosy, with spacious bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens for you to make your own tasty meals, and comfortable living spaces. On top of this, you'll be waking up to lovely views of the surrounding mountains.

The hotel also features a ski storage room, so all your equipment is taken care of too.

Please note:

Transfer coaches are unable to stop at the door of the hotel, therefore customers will have a 1-minute uphill walk, with their luggage, on arrival, and downhill on departure.

Getting Here

The driveway to the Weisenheim is narrow, meaning our coach has limited access to it. Therefore, the coach will drop you at the bottom of the driveway, where you'll have a short 1-minute walk, with your luggage, from the road to the entrance to the hotel. Make sure you're wearing sturdy shoes as it may be snowy underfoot.

This package holiday to Wiesenheim Apartments in Selva, Italy departs Monday 3rd January 2022, for a 5 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Selva is the best known and highest of Val Gardena’s close-set group of villages, which also include Ortisei and Santa Cristina. Val Gardena is part of the expansive Dolomiti Superski area and topping the list of reasons to visit the Dolomites, or ‘Pale Mountains’, is its status as a UNESCO world heritage site - Selva has some striking views of the Sassolungo massif and Puez mountains on either side. The nursery slopes are close to town and there’s a nice collection of blues towards one side of Piz Seteur and at Plan de Gralba (it’s worth mastering the bus timetable when going onto Plan de Gralba as taking the mountain route can land a beginner on some rather tricky reds). There are a number of ski school options available as well as a Fun Park for the younger-hearted. Just by looking at the piste map you can see the intermediate-friendly nature of the skiing here. For those re-discovering their ski leg...
Italian resorts don’t tend to be overly wild when it comes to après ski but with 20 bars, 45 restaurants and 2 main clubs Selva does rather well... If you’ve never had the iconic Bombardino beverage, this is a good place to sample one! Bar Saltos is a good foodie spot with a sometimes themed menu and music scene for later on. La Stua, near the Costabella ski lift, is great for après ski with a sunny terrace and live music. By the Dantercepies, Panorama does some hearty dishes, perfect before the final run...
