If it’s easy access to the slopes that you’re after, Sporthotel Panorama is the perfect choice. It’s got a piste-side location 1,700 metres above Corvara, so grabbing the skis and getting down the mountain couldn’t be any easier. The Arlara lift is only 20 metres from the hotel and You can ski straight back to the door too. If you want to get to the centre, all you need to do is jump on the free shuttle bus. The walk will take about 15-minutes if you want to stretch your legs instead.
Back at the hotel you can expect cosy alpine interiors. The rooms are traditional, furnished with pine, and have lots of space for all your luggage. Dinners are hearty and filling – just what you need after a day on the slopes. They use natural ingredients that showcase the best of the region’s cuisine. Don’t forget to order a bottle of local wine to wash it all down. They’ve also got a pretty good spa here. We loved the indoor pool but if you fancy a bit of pampering, book in for a massage – it completely refreshes you for another day of skiing.
Transfer time: approx. 4 hours from Innsbruck airport.
