The Hotel Sport's got one of the best spots in Bansko – you can ski right to the door and the gondola's just next to the hotel. Even better, ski school meets at the top of the lift, so you'll be ready to go as soon as you step off. And when you're done for the day, there's a lively scene nearby with plenty of bars and places to eat. The old town's a 15-minute stroll if you fancy exploring Bansko's history.

Back at the hotel, you can recharge the muscles in the wellness area. There's an indoor pool for a few lengths, plus a sauna and steam room to help you unwind. Or head outside to the heated whirlpool – it's the perfect way to soak up the mountain air. For an extra treat, book yourself in for a massage. Then when you're feeling refreshed, grab a drink at the lobby bar and sink into one of the comfy sofas by the fire.

Food's sorted with a buffet breakfast each morning in the big dining room – great for fuelling up before you hit the slopes. Go for half-board and you'll get dinner here too, with a mix of Bulgarian and international dishes on the menu.
