Overview: chalet description: Marmotte description

Marmotte is a beautiful luxury apartment which has been finished with no attention to detail spared. Occupying two floors of one of the most exclusive apartment buildings in Verbier, this property is one of a kind.

Set in an incredible location on Rue de Ransou this apartment is a short equal distance from the Le Rouge piste and the main Medran lift. The town centre is a short five-minute walk away, or alternatively there is a bus stop nearby.

This property feels more like a chalet than an apartment with its sumptuous furnishing and its exposed beams. You enter the property on the top floor and into the wonderful open plan living and dining area. Sliding doors open out onto a large terrace and the elevated position allows for breathtaking views of the mountains beyond. There is stylish seating area on the terrace and stairs which lead down into the large garden below. This the perfect place to relax after skiing in the warmer spring months.

The living area is stylish and spacious with the main seating area focused around the large open fireplace. Guests are invited to dine at the large dining table which sits 10 people comfortably and is overlooked by the well-equipped kitchen.

There is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on this floor which has fabulous french windows opening out onto the terrace allowing the light to flood in. A guest w.c. is positioned just of the main hallway when you enter the apartment.

Moving downstairs to the main sleeping floor, there are two further double bedrooms, a twin/double bedroom and a single bedroom ideal for a nanny or household staff. The two double bedrooms have French doors with garden access and en-suite bathrooms. The twin/double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the small single bedroom also has an en-suite shower room. There is a snug area with TV, perfect for the children to hang out and play games.

There is one indoor car parking space available and a private ski locker in garage. The chalet is sold on a catered or self-catered basis.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
