Very much in keeping with the rest of Vaujany’s laid-back appeal is the humble Hotel les Cimes. It’s wooden balconies and authentic stonework make it a charming spot, and the views you get of the peaks – or ‘cimes’ in French – are second to none.

There’s a fresh feeling to their twin, triple and family rooms, as well as the Restaurant les Cimes where you’ll take your meals. Expect your usual Continental offerings as well as eggs and pancakes for breakfast, and when evening comes around there’ll be a range of French cuisine, mountain classics and international dishes for you to choose from.

A huge win for the hotel is that it’s super near the ski gondola station – only a short meander through the village – so you’ll be whizzing down the slopes each day in no time.
