· ski-in, ski-out on to the blue Maitaz run · 1 minute’s walk or short ski to the Charmettoger lift · 4 minutes’ walk or short ski to the ski school meeting point · 4 minutes’ walk or short ski to the nursery slopes · 8 minutes’ walk to the resort centre
Hotel Aiguille Grive’s nabbed a fab location right on the piste, making it a top choice if you’re keen to max out on slope time. Come ski o’clock, you can click straight in and swoosh off down the Maitaz blue run. Then, at the end of your ski day simply cruise back to the boot room door – now that’s what you call easy. Plus, it's tucked away in a quiet spot above Arc 1800, offering up stunning views and a true in-the-mountains feel.
Looks-wise, there's a modern take on chalet style – think exposed light wood beams and huge windows that flood the space with light. Rooms come with a balcony, so you can step out each morning and breathe in the fresh mountain air. You’ve not one but two sun terraces to choose from, perfect for relaxing in a deckchair before hitting the slopes again. And up at bar level, you can soak up even more of that scenery over a hot chocolate, mulled wine or cocktail. Fancy some fun? There's a pool table for a bit of friendly rivalry, or you can just settle in for a cosy catch-up.
Food's a real treat here too. Kick the day off by tucking into the breakfast buffet spread with everything from local meats and cheeses to homemade pastries. When evening rolls around, you’ve a 3-course evening meal to enjoy. The hotel’s chef’s known for quality food full of regional ingredients. Add to that the peaceful piste-side setting and you’re all set for quiet nights in.
If you fancy popping into Arc 1800’s resort centre itself, just bear in mind it’s a steep 8-minute walk. The hotel’s snow jeep can nip you down, subject to availability and time of day.

When you arrive in the resort, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the entrance of the Hotel Aiguille Grive, so you’ll be dropped off close by. The hotel snow jeep will collect you and your luggage and take you up to the hotel from there.
