Perfectly positioned on the main promenade, surrounded by exclusive boutiques, shops and restaurants.

Overview: chalet description: Apartment Polo description

Nestled right in the heart of Gstaad, Apartment Polo is one of Gstaad’s most exclusive luxury apartments available to rent.

Apartment Polo affords wonderful views over the snow covered roof tops, the designer boutiques on the promenade below and across to the renowned Gstaad Palace perched high on the hill top in the distance.

The entrance is hidden next to Hotel Olden off the main central promenade in one of Gstaad’s most prestigious positions. With no attention to detail spared, contemporary décor is set against traditional wood and natural timbers creating a sophisticated alpine setting.

You enter the apartment from a cobbled side street on the 1st floor of the building into an entrance hall. Stairs take you up to the second floor which is the spacious living floor. Off the main hallway you will find the dining room, kitchen and open plan living room and snug. There is also a guest w.c. and laundry room.

Sitting 12 people comfortably, the beautiful dining room is the perfect place to entertain. Large wooden panelled doors separate the dining room from the contemporary kitchen, allowing maximum privacy. Focused around a sociable breakfast bar, the kitchen is stylish and chic with all the latest kitchen equipment available for your convenience.

The open plan living area is spacious and comfortable. Cleverly exposed beams, sensitive design and plush furnishings creates a wonderful homely atmosphere. Large sofas surround the grand stone fireplace whilst neutral colours flow throughout this chalet style apartment. Adjacent to the main living area, there is a separate TV snug with office and piano. Floor to ceiling French windows allow light to flood in and the evening subtle lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere.

Moving upstairs onto the main sleeping floor, the elegant master bedroom has a wonderful balcony and en-suite bathroom with separate shower. There is a further double with en-suite bathroom. Both these bedrooms have TV’s with Apple TV and satellite channels. Also on this floor are two further double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms.

The top floor of the apartment is home to the entertainment room. Exposed beams, rich fabrics and a large sumptuous L shaped sofa provide the ideal spot for the whole family to relax. There is a TV with satellite, Apple TV and a DVD player. There is an additional fold bed should it be required.

This property is sold for long term rental on an accommodation only basis from Sunday 10th January – 20th March 2016. Additional services such as daily cleaning, a driving service and in house luxury chalet catering are available at an additional cost.

For those wishing to celebrate New Year in prime position, it is also available on a weekly rental from Saturday 26th December – 9th January 2016 on a self-catered basis with daily housekeeping.

In Switzerland’s German speaking Saanenland region, Gstaad has the kind of reputation in the skiing world that St Tropez has in summer. And it’s the local international schools we have to thank for it. Institute Le Rosey set up shop here in 1917 and as students, teachers and their families raved about the Gstaad good life, the village’s reputation as a luxurious destination grew and grew. Stars of Hollywood’s golden age graced its grand hotels and ritzy bars - Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly – a...
The ski area is huge and varied, featuring Bernese Oberland’s only glacier, Glacier 3000 as well as the Rinderberg, Lengebrand, Saanerslochgrat, Hornberg and Horneggli mountains. Beginners can access easy blues from the Ruttli and Zuckerli lifts at the end of Gstaad village. More easy runs are served by the Gstaad – Eggli lift, streaming down into Saanen. Intermediates should be able to handle the area’s longest run from the top of Mt. La Videmanette, all the way down into Rougemont. Blue and red ru...
As you’d expect of a resort of Gstaad’s calibre, there are some fabulous restaurants to dine in. The Alpina Gstaad and Restaurant Chesery have a Michelin star and 18 Gault&Millau points each, and more G&M points are scattered around the resort’s remaining eateries. We like Berghaus Wispile for 360° views of the surroundings and Saagli Stubli for fondues and all things cheesy. For DIY fondues, there are fondue huts and giant fondue pots scattered around the region to form Fondueland – pick up a rucksack from...
