There’s accommodation all over the Banff National Park but most is in our favourite part, Banff Town, where you’ll find the best hotels, shops and restaurants. We also have some options closer to the slopes: Sunshine Mountain Lodge has the luxury of doorstep skiing if access to some of North America’s best powder is your priority. Back downtown, the shining star of the area is the Fairmont Banff Springs – built over 125 years ago, this "Castle in the Rockies" is fit for royalty (literally, the Queen has stayed here). If you’re looking for something a little cosier, the High County Inn is conveniently located in the centre of town, next to the ski bus stop at the meeting of Banff Ave and Rabbit St.
Choose full board and spend your days safe in the knowledge that all your breakfast, dinner, and lunch needs are catered for. Most hotels are half board, B&B, or room-only – giving you increasingly more freedom to check out the local restaurants (something you won’t want to miss out on in North America). The resort centre is full of fabulous restaurants like Bruno’s Cafe (it’s tempting to book room-only just to have their breakfasts every day…) and quick takeaway eats like Subway if you’re on the go.
If you’re happy to consider other Canadian mountain resorts on top of Banff, check our page of all Canada ski hotels. You can also use our main Ski Hotels page to filter through properties all over the globe.
