Ski holidays in UK

Scotland rules the United Kingdom in the skiing department, with the most reliable snowfall and five ski resorts in Highland, Fort William and the Grampian mountains. It’s also possible to ski in Cumbria, where the Lake District Ski Club have set up a drag lift on one of the highest, snowiest peaks in the Lakes.
Swap your après ski vin chaud for a hot whiskey, cut down your travel time and save worrying about where you've left your passport - spend the week somewhere you speak the lingo and support our local ski resorts. Britain's are far from the biggest or most reliable ski areas in Europe, but the quality of skiing in the motherland might just surprise you.

Scotland's Grampian mountains are home to Britain's biggest lift system, Glenshee, which covers four mountains and every level of piste, totalling 40km. Coming second in size, Cairngorm’s famous for having the UK’s only funicular railway, while the Nevis Range achieved a first with the presence of its gondola, providing speedy access to its 35 runs. The Lecht's 22 pistes total 25km, while Glencoe has 20 ski slopes in its 18km ski area.
