Established in 1937 the French ski resort Praz-sur-Arly lies at 1036 metres altitude in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps / Alpes. With the highest lifts and ski slopes at 2000m the area is not snow sure. Over 5 snow cannons ensure artificial snow making covers 1km of trails, which equates to around 1 of the slopes. - In the coldest winter months of January and February pick a resort with sunny south facing slopes, so your days on the snow doesn't feel like a polar expedition.
