Mountain Heaven’s an independent, family-run company whose mission is to give guests good value, great quality ski holidays with top-notch, personalised service.
These week-long packages cover several brilliant resorts in France and Switzerland. Accommodation comes in the form of chalets and apartments with cracking locations and facilities – often including hot tubs, saunas and sometimes even a pool.
Flights are not typically included in these packages but we can help arrange that for you, along with transfers.
Mountain Heaven are ABTA and ABTOT registered.
Ranging from refurbed farmhouses to stand-alone new-builds and modern chalet apartments, this company have a cracking collection of good standard, mid-range chalet accommodation. You’ll find some super facilities such as private saunas and jacuzzis, and many of these properties occupy high-altitude, panoramic positions.
Catered packages ensure you’re well fed and watered (on local produce as much as possible). That’ll usually mean a cooked breakfast on 4 days and a more continental style self-serve on 3. Traditionally, afternoon tea welcomes you back from the slopes, with warm drinks and home-baked treats to tie you over until dinner… Which is likely to be a hearty dish (beef bourguignon perhaps, or a veggie alternative), with a dessert to follow (think fruit crumble or melt in the middle chocolate pud). Wine’s served throughout the meal, chosen to compliment the menu. One day of the week, your chalet hosts will take a well-deserved day off, freeing you up to eat out at a local restaurant.
Mountain Heaven offer a wide selection of self-catering options too, across the same collection of resorts. These well-equipped properties sleep somewhere between 3 and 10 guests and are mostly within 200 metres of the pistes - it doesn’t get much better than that.
You have total flexibility when it comes to mealtimes - cook your own, dine out, grab a takeaway or take advantage of a nifty delivery system in the form of hearty, ready-made meals that just need popping in the oven. On special occasions like Christmas, you may even be able to order in your turkey with all the trimmings… There are usually vegetarian, vegan and children’s options available, and beer and wine packages can be ordered through the same service. Most of these self-catering properties won’t have a live-in host but there should still be staff available in the resort if you have any queries during your stay.
Several of this supplier’s properties are suitable for children. In terms of dining, usually under 12’s are served an early 2 course supper and then grown-ups dine later in the evening. While childcare isn’t offered directly, some great companies can be recommended in these resorts (usually along the lines of private nannies or crèches). The same goes for group or private ski/snowboard lessons.
This more unusual trip gives you the opportunity to ski few different mountains (including the UNESCO world heritage valley of ‘Upper Svaneti’) and explore cultural attractions like Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital city. The holiday usually lasts 9 days and includes breakfast and dinner every day, and lunch on 3 days. Your meals are likely to have a Turkish or Persian influence along with some locally made wines (they say Georgia is the world’s oldest wine making country). This holiday is best suited to those with skiing experience and lift passes are usually included.
Watch this page for early discounts, late deals and the like that might give you as much as 40% off the original price! Every skier loves a lift pass bargain and once in a while, savings can be made on lift passes with these packages - all the latest offers will be displayed right here.
