As skiers ourselves, we know how important breakfast is to set you up for a good day on the mountain so on the 5 days where a cooked breakfast is provided you can take your pick from porridge and eggs cooked to order, French bread, preserves, croissants, yoghurt, muesli, cereals and a differing cooked option which includes sausages and bacon, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs with lardons, all served alongside fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or our specially imported Yorkshire tea. On our self-service days there is a good selection to choose from including cereals, bread, ham and cheese etc.

Afternoon Tea

It’s a favourite chalet tradition, coming back to your chalet at the end of a hard day on the piste to a freshly baked cake along with tea and coffee.

Dinner

Our menu is freshly prepared to create delicious wholesome dishes that may range from local mountain favourites such as a traditional rich boeuf bourguignon to Loin of pork with caramelised apple and cider all served with delicious accompaniments and seasonal vegetables. We finish with scrumptious desserts such as a classic warming apple crumble or a melt in your mouth chocolate fondant. All of our food is complimented with a choice of handpicked wines and finally we round off the evening with freshly brewed coffee and tea. On your final evening we serve a fourth course of cheese.

Wines

Your host will serve our house wine throughout the meal which we have specially chosen to accompany the dishes on our menu. We have a good selection of white and red wines based on our pre-season wine tastings which we do every year plus feedback that we receive each year from our guests. In addition you may you may upgrade to our premium/luxury selection of wine by purchasing them by the case before your holiday.

Beautiful old village Val d’Anniviers ski pass Heliski from resort

With chocolate-box chalets dating back to the 1300's and mammoth mountains overhead, one thing we love about Grimentz is the scenery. Another's the skiing, with over 100km of pistes and oodles of powder terrain throughout Val d’Anniviers. Not forgetting the food and wine, which alone is enough to keep us returning year after year...

Grimentz is gorgeous: originally a nomad farming village, larch-clad houses and barns line twisting cobbled pathways and the pedestrianised Rue du Vieux Village – just as they have for hundreds of years (one dates back to the 12th century). The chalet window boxes are brimming with bright geraniums in the summer months, earning the place the nickname of “Geranium village”. But beauty isn’t reserved only for the village. Look outwards and you’re in southwest Switzerland’s Val d’Anniviers, where a ring...
The local pistes stream down from the Becs de Bosson and Roc d’Orzival, where there are some jaw dropping views over the Anniviers and Rhone valleys. Beginners can practice on the Bendolla area, which has nursery runs and a mix of short and gentle blues Marenda and Visivi. Progress onto the longer Avoin back to the village for a confidence boosting end to the day. We like how blue routes lead down from both top lift stations – the Panorama from Orzival and Becs de Bosson run let you enjoy the scenery and ...
This might not be a party town like Verbier, but it is within one of the country’s main wine producing regions, which means a good tipple isn’t hard to find. To try the local creations, taste your way through some of the hundred wines at Oenotheque. For good old fashioned après, Chez Florioz (at the foot of the pistes) is the main watering hole here. Later on, try Pub Domino for drinks and darts or Le Country for themed evenings and games tables. Disco Shadock stays open till the early hours if you fancy...
