Norwich International Airport (NWI) is 4 miles north of the city centre and within a 1.5 hour drive of Norfolk, Suffolk and North Cambridgeshire.

Chartered and scheduled flights serve over five hundred destinations all over the world, including ski nations like France, Italy, Andorra, Norway and Canada.

Driving from the south west (A11): At the Thickthorn roundabout, take the 4th exit (A11) and at the following roundabout take the 2nd exit (A11). Keep going until you reach the following roundabout, where you need to take the 1^st exit (Cromer, A140). Follow this road until the next roundabout and then take the 2^nd exit (Norfolk Airport). Then follow signs for the airport.

Driving from the east (A47 Yarmouth): Exit the A47 onto the A1042 signposted ‘Norwich North and East’, follow signs to Norwich North and East for the next 2 roundabouts. At the third roundabout take the exit towards A1042 and then follow signs to Cromer A140. Then Norwich Airport will be signposted.

Driving from the west (A47 Kings Lynn): Leave the A47 for the A1074 and continue along the A1074 over the next two roundabouts. Then at the next roundabout take the 1^st exit and follow signs to the airport.

Driving from the north east (A140 Cromer): Continue into Norwich on the A140 and at the roundabout take first exit to Norwich Airport, then follows signs to Norwich Airport.

Parking at Norwich Airport:

The Short Stay car park is ideal for dropping people off as a stay of under 15 minutes is usually free of charge. The Long Stay car park is just a few minutes’ walk away from the terminal and the cost for a 7 day stay last time we checked was around £73. There are also Premium Parking options where you’ll have the easiest access to the terminal.

Public Transport to/from Norwich Airport:

Norwich Airport Buses:

The Norwich Park and Ride 501 has a service between Thickthorn Park & Ride, Norwich city centre and the airport, with the stop only a couple of minutes’ walk from the terminal.

The Bush Road, Hellesdon bus stop is around a ten minute walk from the airport. The First 37 service runs between Mulbarton and Hellesdon, via the city centre.

Trains to/from Norwich Airport:

Norwich Train Station in the city centre is about a 20 minute taxi journey to/from the airport. The nearest bus stop is stop CK at Upper King Street (about 10 minutes’ walk), where you can catch the 501 to the airport.

The station has trains to Cambridge, Great Yarmouth, Manchester Piccadilly, Lowestoft, Sheringham and London Liverpool Street.

Taxis to/from Norwich Airport:

Norwich Airport is paired up with Norwich Airport Taxis. Available 24/7, the taxi rank is just outside the terminal.

Coaches to/from Norwich Airport:

National Express and Megabus have coaches to Norwich Bus Station. This is a short walk from the Norwich City Centre bus stop, where the 501 bus runs to the airport.

The Executive Lounge has complimentary alcoholic drinks and snacks, as well as tea and coffee, internet and daily newspapers. There’s also a Duty Free Personal Shopper service.

Food and Drink:

For a quick coffee stop and snack, Costa and Café Oasis are located past security. The Yard of Ale is also open for hot breakfasts, lunch and dinners.

Shopping:

There’s a WH Smith in the check in area and a World Duty Free in the departure lounge. Skylines also has a range of newspapers, magazines and confectionary.

Wi-Fi:

Norwich Airport has Wi-Fi available throughout the terminal and you can also use internet desks in the departure lounge.
