Exeter International Airport (EXT) officially opened in 1937 and was crowned “Best domestic airport” in the 2015 Travel Agents Choice Awards.
It’s located in Clyst Honiton, East Devon - under half an hour’s drive from Exeter and within an hour of Taunton, Plymouth and Yeovil.
Driving to Exeter Airport:

The airport is just 5 minutes off the M5.
Driving from the north: Head southbound on the M5, then leave at junction 29 for the A30 and follow signs to the airport.
Driving from the south / west: Head northbound on the M5 until junction 29, then exit for the A30 eastbound. There should then be clear signs for the airport.
Driving from the east: Follow the A30 west to the B3184 exit, then follow the airport signposting.
Parking
For drop-off or pick-up you can either pay £1 for 30 minutes in Car Park 1 or opt for Car Park 4 which is free for drop-offs and pick-ups, but requires a short shuttle bus transfer to reach check in.
Car Park 1 is the Short Stay parking area, a minutes’ walk from the terminal.
Car Park 2 is for Premium Long Stay parking, also a couple of minutes’ walk from the terminal.
Car Park 3 has standard Long Stay parking, 100 yards from the building and served by a shuttle.
Car Park 4 also has long stay parking, 800 yards from the terminal with a shuttle bus taking you from A to B.

Trains to/from Exeter Airport:
The nearest rail station is Digby & Sowton (5 miles away) for trains to north and south Devon and Exmouth.
Exeter St. David’s (6 miles away) is linked to the airport by the Stagecoach Service 56 bus. The station has services to/from Plymouth, Exmouth, Barnstaple, Manchester Piccadilly and London Paddington (and others).
Destinations from Exeter Central (6 Miles) include Exmouth, Barnstaple, Paignton and London Waterloo.
Taxis to/from Exeter Airport:
Apple Cantal Taxis are the official taxi operator on site, and you can find them in the designated taxi area at arrivals. Other taxi companies aren’t allowed access here and will probably pick you up / drop you off at Car Park 1.
Coaches to/from Exeter Airport:
National Express runs services from the West Country, south coast and further afield to Exeter Bus station. You can then connect to the airport via Stagecoach Service 56.

The Mount Charles group manage a bar, restaurant and café on the airside.

Shoppers will find World Duty Free and a WH Smith airside. There are ATM cash machines at check in and in the departure lounge.

The airport’s Free Arqiva Wi-Fi system can be accessed in the Departure Lounge and Executive Lounge.
