3 and 4 star hotels are classified as 'comfort' and 'first class' in Europe - on the upper end of the scale, you'll find fabulous facilities like kids clubs, spas and à la carte restaurants. When it comes to apartments, most tend to be comfortable, mid-range properties – sometimes with access to a swimming pool or wellness facilities.
Catered chalets don't have an official rating system, but when they're given 3 or 4 stars, they're normally good old fashioned alpine lodges - with the likes of roaring fires, hot tubs and saunas found in higher end chalets. Look out for our accommodation with doorstep skiing or a central location for first class access around the resort.
