With tropical weather and a higher chance of rain, sunbathing might not be the best option. However, it could be a great opportunity to get out and explore the island. What about cycling around the entirety of Nevis? This small island is only 36 square miles with a 20-mile main road running around it. Rent a bike from a specialist shop such as the Green Edge Bike shop located in St James’ Parish, and enjoy a leisurely ride around the island, at your own pace. Or head to Nevis’ Oualie Beach for a bike tour of the island, stopping at various landmarks pointed out by the experienced guide.

If you are looking for something more adventurous and challenging, why not try Nevis Peak Volcano climb? It is quite a gruelling climb up the 3,232ft volcano, and it looks somewhat like a rolling hill. A tour guide is needed, and a higher level of fitness is almost a necessity too – but if you are looking for an adrenaline rush and want to challenge, or if you are an experienced climber, this is something you should consider doing while there.
