February Half Term

February doesn’t fall into the peak season, so expect fewer crowds. February is a slightly cooler time than the summer months, with high temperatures of 21°C. February is the perfect time for golfing, hiking and other outdoor activities. 

Easter

Easter holidays are usually in March and April when the average daily temperature in Bermuda is around 20°C during the day. Rainfall is low at this time of year and when it does rain it is usually in short showers followed by sun.

May Half Term

May is hotter, and the beginning of the peak season, with highs of 25°C. The sea temperature is 23°C and there is around 70mm of rainfall throughout the month.

Summer

June through to August is the busiest time of the year in Bermuda and the hottest. June sees an average temperature of 25°C, while July and August can reach temperatures of 30°C during the day. July and August tend to be the busiest months, as the weather is warm and perfect for both water and land activities. 

October Half Term

October is the wettest month, with around 200mm of rainfall throughout the month. Temperatures can reach 27°C, with an average of 25°C during the day. October also falls into hurricane season, so always check weather forecasts before you go.

Christmas & New Year

December is a cooler month, with an average temperature of 20°C. There is around 120mm of rainfall, but there is still plenty of sunshine and this is a perfect time to explore the island without getting too hot. January has similar temperatures, but the sea temperature is slightly lower, at 18°C.

Horseshoe Bay is famous for its pink sand, but you’ll stay for the beautiful views, warm waters, and numerous water activities. Swim in the Atlantic, picnic on the beach and explore the spectacular rock formations to capture perfect photos you can look back on for years to come.

With kids, a great place to stay for the day is the Royal Naval Dockyard which is the most westerly point of Bermuda. Here, there is a rich history and fortress style stone walls as well as an old clock tower that has been converted into a shopping mall. The original look has been preserved, as well as the history, but behind each building lies a modern twist in the form of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. There is also a crazy golf course, and a snorkel park that is popular among families, as you can rent any equipment you might need during the admission.

Explore Tom Moore’s Jungle & the Blue Hole. The track starts close to the airport, on the other side of the bay and is an easy walk-through pretty bushes, past isolated beaches, and caves until you reach the infamous Blue Hole. This walk is not strenuous or particularly long so ideal for children of all ages.
