BASS British ski school Val d'Isere

Our excellent instructors are our driving force – with huge enthusiasm and passion for the mountains. All of our ski coaches hold the top level of ski instructor qualifications, as well as terrific communication skills (if they’re not native Brits, they’re fluent English speakers). We’ve been teaching in the Alps for over 25 years now, and have thousands of happy customers. Our Group Lessons are available for all levels, providing the most economical method of learning, and we also run intermediate and advanced clinics in small groups.

Mountain MASTERS

Established in 1988, Mountain Masters was started by a small group of 3 ski instructors and guides who had all worked for big, mass market ski schools and shared a dream to provide more focused, tailored instruction. The ski school has grown but the ethos stays the same – as well as being some of the best in winter sports (ex professionals, national examiners, demo-team members) the team are also excellent instructors who value things like psychology and tactics just as much as they value technique. Adult group and private lessons are available in skiing or snowboarding. You will find Mountain Masters at Killy Sport by the Tourist Office.

Ultimate Snowsports

Ultimate Snowsports offer high quality group lessons for skiers and snowboarders in Val d’Isere and Tignes. Instructors are British, with heaps of enthusiasm and the highest qualifications. Lessons are centred around enjoyment which spurs on visible improvement. Our group lessons are great value with more than 6 people per group.

BASS British ski school Val d'Isere

BASS’ instructors are either British or speak English perfectly – all share love and enthusiasm for the Alps, where we’ve been teaching for more than 25 years now. Our private lessons are the most flexible learning method. Courses last for 2 hours or more, in small groups of 1-6 people. Opt for 1:1 for your instructor’s undivided attention, or learn with friends and family of a similar level. Either way your lessons will be tailored to your needs. Snowdreamers

Whether you have never been on the piste before or have been skiing for years, and whether you are 6 or 60, Snowdreamers do all kinds of lessons. Lessons taught in English/Russian/Italian/German. Instructors are all very skilled and have high levels of qualifications from Euro Ski Pro and ISIA. Tours led by a mountain guide are also available. The company is based in Cortina d’Ampezzo but can provide lessons and experiences in a number of Alpine ski resorts like Val d'Isere and Tignes.

Ultimate Snowsports

Private lessons with Ultimate Snowsports are totally tailored to your requirements. From our 1:1 technical sessions to guiding for families and friends – you choose the length and content of your private session.

Our British instructors all have the highest qualifications in teaching skiing and snowboarding. Lessons are built to be fun, we’re certain that enjoyment helps learning and leads to real improvement.

ICE - Performance Courses

Transform the way you ski with the help of pro coaches at the top of their game. When they’re not running performance courses, they’re training and assessing ski instructors for BASI. All have represented team GB in the BASI demo team and travelled the globe demonstrating and delivering workshops. Coaching is available for five full or half days, followed by a video debrief and analysis. ICE also run BASI level 1 & 2, 3 and 4 preparation courses and race training. ICE - International Centre of Excellence

ICE is BASI’s only official training centre in the world renowned Val d’Isere-Tignes ski area. With us, you can attend all of the official BASI courses, including ski and snowboard instructor courses, ski instructor training for BASI level 1 & 2 and Masterclass performance courses. We deliver the best training from some of the world’s best coaches, resulting in the highest pass rates. We are the only GAP Provider to use BASI trainers exclusively for all training and assessing on ski and snowboard instructor courses - you’ll be trained at the highest level by the people who assess you later on. Mountain MASTERS

Based at Killy Sport (next to the Tourist Office) Mountain Masters are a team of expert instructors and Mountain Guides, including ex-professional freeriders. They do some fantastic off-piste lessons and guided trips (including safety gear) for skiers, snowboarders or telemarkers:

Ultimate Snowsports

Our coaches will help you to escape the hustle and bustle, and discover some of the best mountains on the continent. We know the areas that have the finest fresh powder, letting you make your mark on the snow. Ultimate’s off piste sessions are available for all levels of skier and snowboarder. We have an “Off Piste Experience” course to introduce off piste, as well as a “Performance Course” to push you up to the next level. If you’re already a seasoned off piste skier/snowboarder, ask us about our heli-drop, touring and split boarding sessions, where Ultimate coaches lead you into the backcountry beyond the lifts and limits of everyday off piste skiers.
