Where to begin…. We arrived quite late due to an afternoon flight from UK. Having missed dinner, we were advised that there was an “evening snack” option within the restaurant and that we could use that. Well, I’m sorry to say that the food wasn’t good. “Boiled beef” and “trotter soup” was not the one! (Wish I were joking, however this is what was offered) Unfortunately we found the dining options to be very disappointing our entire stay, and my partner and child essentially lived on chips for the week, whilst I mainly ate plain rice and bread. The infamous cakes and desserts we had read about were also disappointing. Everything was very “samey”. We tried the a’la carte Italian one evening and were really holding high hopes, but alas this was a further disappointment. Thank god it was included within the all inclusive, as I would’ve been livid if we had paid extra. The other advertised a’la carte restaurants didn’t even look open. The hotel grounds are very well kept though, and the forest setting is lovely - it gives Centre Parc vibes. However the beach area isn’t great, and the pier was not open and appeared to be having repairs. Entertainment - can’t really say there was any. The website will have you believe there are shows etc, however we didn’t see any of this. The only thing we saw was a kids disco at around 8pm. Local area - be aware that this resort is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. You cannot walk to a shop or anything like that. We took a taxi to land of legends mall, and it cost 50 euros total. If you want to get out and about, either expect some hefty taxi bills, or look at another hotel. The staff however are friendly and attentive (sometimes almost bordering on bothersome), but they do their jobs well. The only gripe I have is that we had a problem with a leaking shower, and we were promised it would be repaired, but it never happened. All in all we can only give this a 3, and we definitely wouldn’t be coming back to Turkey based on this experience.
