Best luxury destinations in Aruba

For those seeking an all-round luxury experience then head to the Palm Beach area of Aruba. Its status as an opulent and indulgent location is confirmed by the high-end hotels that have chosen to establish themselves there. The beach, after which the area is named, is naturally stunning but man-made delights also abound including two high-end shopping malls.

Paseo Herencia Mall hosts many international brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Quicksilver. Alternatively, explore the Palm Beach Plaza Mall, the largest on the island, offering 15,000 square meters of high-end spending experiences. Whichever mall you choose, your time will fly by as you also enjoy fine dining, bars, cinemas and bowling alleys.

Don’t be alarmed if shopping isn't your thing, Palm Beach is also close to the Bubali Bird Sanctuary where many migratory birds can be seen having their own ‘holiday’ fun. Easily accessible is the Old Dutch Windmill landmark and the stunning Butterfly Farm where you can encounter these beautiful insects flying freely around as you walk through its jungle-themed enclosure.

Best beaches in Aruba

Aruba is home to some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, ensuring you will be spoilt for choice when trying to decide where to venture to next. Whether you are wanting a great snorkelling spot, choppy waves to surf on or just an ideal location to soak up the sun; each beach on the island has something to take everyone’s fancy.

Some of our personal favourites include Eagle Beach which is the widest beach in Aruba and often rated as one of the top three beaches in the world. Andicuri Beach is one of the most secluded in Aruba and perfect for bodyboarders and surfers due to its strong currents and Flamingo Beach that as the name suggests, is home to many flamingos which you can get up close with.

Best luxury & 5-star hotels in Aruba

If you want an unbridled luxury set in the most idyllic Caribbean Island setting, then look no further than the 5-star Ritz Carlton resort located on Aruba’s Palm Beach. Sympathetically located to make the best of the natural beauty offered by one of the island's iconic beaches, the Ritz Carlton offers visitors a choice of 320 air-conditioned rooms, including 55 suites, all with private balconies, allowing you to drink in the stunning vistas.

Obviously, no matter how luxurious your room may be, staying there all day is not an option, so why not take a dip in one of the two beachfront swimming pools, enjoy a treatment at the 15,000-square-foot spa or enjoy a meal in one of the four fine dining restaurants where Argentinian, Italian and sea food-themed menus can be found.

After all that, enjoy a cocktail in one of the poolside bars or try to boost your holiday funds in the 24-hour casino. For those of you travelling with the younger members of the family, have no fear, the luxury holiday experience is extended to them as well. Ritz Kids schedule daily activities and entertainment, whilst babysitting and childcare can be arranged for a surcharge.

Other favourite luxury hotels in Aruba are Hotel Riu Palace Aruba and Barcelo Aruba.
