The contest that honours Francis Nunes Jr, who played a crucial role in developing sport fishing to Antigua and Barbuda, has now become an anticipated event of the year. With 25 boats competing for the grand prize, it makes for very entertaining viewing. You won't go hungry as they celebrate with an absolute feast with some of the freshest seafood.

Go and witness sea turtles nesting! In September, the Environmental Awareness Group of Antigua and Barbuda run sea turtle tours on multiple beaches. Qualified volunteers lead these tours from the conservation group. These educational tours are eye-opening to how vital sea turtles are to our ecosystem and some of the shocking statistics that have left these beautiful creatures endangered. You will have the chance of witnessing any of the three species found on the island; Hawksbill, Green, and Leatherback on the shores, laying their eggs.
