Despite Easter falling later on in the season, when some resorts may suffer a decline in snow quality, Les Orres’ high altitude, north facing slopes and snow making technology make it a great choice for a holiday at this time of the year. If the snow does deteriorate slightly, the resort offers a wealth of alternative snow sports including the ‘Orrian Express’ luge track, snow-shoeing and pony rides. As well as snowy things to do, you’ll find heaps of events and shows on throughout the season. Around Easter in past years, these have included slalom competitions organised by the ESF with music and fireworks, competitions in the snow park with music and barbeques and ice-rink discos. Be sure to check at the tourist office upon arrival to see what’s happening over your stay.

With plenty going on, the snow park is a wonderful place to while away a sunny afternoon, watching the pro’s perfecting their technique and the amateurs getting it right some of the time! Alternatively, head to a bar like the Winter Lounge for a beer or glass of wine while topping up that goggle tan!
