Overview: hotel description: Hotel Tuc Blanc description

The stone’s-throw distance to the TC Baqueira gondola and TSD Bosque chairlift, as well as the short walk to the resort’s restaurants and bars, means you’re in a prime spot with a stay at the family-friendly Hotel Tuc Blanc. And it’s good news for beginners and experienced skiers alike – with nursery slopes right at the top of the Bosque lift, as well as connecting lifts that open up Cap de Baqueira mountain and the wider ski area.

The Tuc Blanc itself offers a warm and welcoming stay. The rooms for couples and young families are charming spaces to rest in, and the indoor heated pool and hot tub – as well as the hotel’s bars, sun terrace and lounge area – are all leisurely wind-down options when the day’s skiing is up. For an extra charge you can also take a trip to the hotel’s sauna and Turkish bath.

You can expect to dine on traditional Spanish and Catalan fare – grilled meats, seafood, omelettes and more – with the evening buffet meal also featuring international food options, giving something for everyone to sample and savour.

Less crowds Gorgeous Pyrenees scenery Huge variety of ski terrain

With a history of non-existent lift queues, terrain that holds up against any of the big-hitter alpine resorts and a rather pleasing price tag to boot, it’s well worth opting for a change of scenery and a week of sun, snow and sangria in this brilliant Spanish ski town.

Established in 1964 and developed by Spanish national ski champion Luis Arias, Baqueira attracts a predominantly Spanish clientele – his majesty, Juan Carlos, has his own residence here, which his children are said to visit nearly every weekend of the season.
