Overview: chalet description: Chalet Cocon description

NB: This is a "family" chalet, so all bookings must include at least one child or teenager.

This stunning chalet was built just 4 years ago and immediately joined our portfolio. Designed to our own specification, the elegant Chalet Cocon offers a choice of family suites and contemporary living and a large playroom. Located just a short walk from the charming village centre and close to the Mont Chéry ski lifts. Chalet Cocon has already become a firm favourite with our guests.

Chalet Cocon is quite new to our Les Gets programme. Already a popular chalet for families visiting in Les Gets, we have worked with the owner to incorporate family suites into the design and ensure it is 100% family-focussed!

The chalet has four family suites and a double room and sleeps up to 15 guests in total. For apres ski relaxation there is an outdoor hot tub.

Cocon is a short and easy walk to the centre of the resort and to the Mont Chéry ski lifts.

Families: Chalet Cocon for children

Our optional À La Carte Childcare is provided in the comfort of your own chalet 6 days a week by our childcare staff, nannies and Monty the Marmot. Our team create a welcoming ‘home away from home’ atmosphere the whole family will love.

Our childcare services take place in the ski chalet you stay in, not a large impersonal crèche.

Our childcare options are flexible and designed for skiing families, allowing you to book what most suits you and your children.

All of our chalets have their own dedicated playrooms.

Our professional carers are a mix of qualified nannies, teachers and nurses supported by experienced assistants. All are recruited by us in the UK.

Monty and all of our childcare professionals are enhanced CRB (now DBS) and reference checked and hold a first aid qualification.

Ratios follow OFSTED recommendations for day care.

This is as close to an alpine fairy tale as it gets. A beautiful resort tucked away between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, Les Gets’ charm comes from rustic wooden chalets, friendly locals and the inevitably cosy atmosphere a smaller village can offer. Les Gets is pronounced Ley-Jay. Situated just an hour from Geneva Airport, it’s perfect for those who don’t want to waste a chunk of their holiday travelling, as most people who fly in the morning can make it onto the slopes by mid-afternoon. This is also one...
Les Gets has several ski schools, making it an excellent place for children and beginners. Most have bi-lingual instructors, and the resort’s popularity with families means instructors are well versed in teaching children to ski. A designated beginner park called Mappy’s Area is close to the Chavannes cable car, with gentle slopes, two magic carpets and rope tows to ski smoothly on 4 gentle slopes. There are good blue runs near the centre of town, and further up towards Chavannes, for any older learners w...
Whilst the resort isn't primarily known for a huge après ski scene, a choice of over 100 shops, bars and restaurants means there's definitely fun to be had after a long day on the slopes. There are several lively bars, and most will stay open until about 2 am. The Irish pub is great for its friendly atmosphere, home-brewed beers, live music and great tapas. The Black Bear is child friendly, with a pool table and located just above the Irish pub. If 2 am isn't late enough for you, Igloo nightclub is open until 4...
