Chalets are great for a catered experience, taking away the hassle of organising meals. In a quiet après ski town like Gressoney where the independent restaurant options are fairly small, this simplifies things significantly.

The beautiful Chalet Hotel Valverde is one of our favourites for families, it’s fantastically located, adjacent to the Punta Jolanda chairlift, and is practically ski-in ski-out via the Jolanda red run; which is a good stepping stone for those looking for a manageable red.

The Edelboden nursery slope is just 30m away, and has, in the past, provided a number of activities for children including a bouncy castle, tubbing, and tobogganing.

The Chalet is based in La-Trinite, which benefits from being a small village with little traffic, and fantastically close to the slopes. There are two ski hire shops- Jolanda Sport, and David Sport Di- just round the corner, and the nursery slope a 30second walk away. The Castore Lounge is also a short walk away as well, meaning you will be able to venture out in the evening to try something different.
