If its flexibility that you’re after this year, then you need look no further than one of our self-catered apartments in Austria. Whether the kids aren’t eating anything more adventurous than fish fingers, or you want to spend every night in a different restaurant, the spontaneity of self-catering will be right up your street. Self-catering apartments have long been the accommodation of choice for those looking to ski on a budget, and if you’re careful with the cooking then this does often prove to be the cheapest option. Couple a stay in an apartment with a self-drive trip and you’re guaranteed to save some pennies. However, in recent years we’ve seen a massive increase in those staying in luxury apartments, many of which have facilities more often associated with chalets or hotels (think hot tubs and saunas) – and if you can’t bear the thought of cooking after a day on the piste then there are plenty of great restaurants in town (the Masianco St. Johann is a favourite). Unfortunately, we don’t seem to have any chalets in St Johann at the moment. Check out some of the great hotels that have rooms available in the resort, or if you don’t mid heading a bit further afield then have a look at some of our other self-catering properties in Austria here.
