This all inclusive holiday to Village Club du Soleil in Les Deux Alpes, France departs Saturday 25th January 2020, for a 7 night stay on a "full board" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Glacier Skiing Awesome après Loads to do

Gobsmacking views of Mont Blanc aren’t the only bonus of the glacier - this ‘upside down’ ski resort is one of the most snow sure in the Alps, so much so that you can ski here in the summertime. Much loved for its après ski, the town's main strip is bursting with some of the best bars in the mountains.

Grenoble is the closest airport with a transfer time of just under 2 hours, making the resort really accessible by road. The resort was first used for skiing as early as 1925, when the first ski tow was erected. Unfortunately, this rather Neanderthal piece of equipment fell down a mere 15 minutes after the opening ceremony! The “Les Deux Alpes”, as we know it today, was established in 1946. It is commonly assumed that the name is derived from the two mountains on either side of the town, when in reality the na...
There are plenty of beginner slopes on the front face with runs like les Vikings and Les Gentianes for those learning to ski. The great thing about LDA is that there are some terrific beginner slopes higher up the mountain so new skiers can really experience the benefits of skiing at altitude. The Cretes area at 2100m is the favourite spot for ski schools, with the Ski Escalator a welcome aid to those learning to ski. A top tip for beginners is to either ski the green back to resort early or opt for the gondola ...
You don’t have to look far to find good après in L2A. The best place to start has to be the Panoramique bar, known as Pano bar to the locals. This slopeside restaurant, based at 2,600m really comes alive between 3pm and 5pm every day with a DJ set that will vibrate through your whole body. At the bottom of the piste, Umbrella bar is a great place to keep the party going. If you want to take the night further then Smithy’s is the place to go, with great modern music as well as a few nights of live entertainmen...
