Overview: hotel description: Vötter's Hotel description

Built by the Vötter family and still run by them today, Vötter's Hotel is a real labour of love. It oozes Austrian tradition from the design to the food, and also shows off the family’s passions – just check out their collection of vintage cars and motorbikes.

If spa time is more your speed, they’ve got you covered too. Wander to the Kristall Spa to swim a few lazy lengths in the indoor pool, turn up the heat in the saunas or treat yourself to a massage.

And everyone can look forward to mealtimes, whether you stick with bed & breakfast or upgrade to half board to get 3-course evening meals too. The chef loves to show off the best seasonal, regional ingredients, and he’s also a qualified sommelier so you know the wine selection is top-notch.

All of this sits in a quiet spot just outside the village, around 6 minutes’ walk from the lifts – or you can get there even quicker by jumping on the free ski bus.

Of particular appeal to families and those with limited experience is Maiskogel- known as ‘The Family Mountain’. Accessible by the Maiskogelbahn gondola, the area is accessed separately from the larger Kitzsteinhorn area of t...
Despite the relatively modest size of the resort, there are still almost 50 different bars and restaurants to choose between. The evening’s festivities can kick off before you’ve even left the slopes; the Häuslalm’s famous terrace bar is the perfect location to start your après and indulge in some traditional Austrian fare whilst looking down onto the village below. Nestled right at the base of the slopes, Zur Lederhos´n is the first stop for many fresh off the lifts. Boasting a heated terrace with live...
