Location: where is Les Chalets de L'Altiport

Ideally located on the ski slopes of the Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine, the Chalets de l'Altiport provide you with the perfect ski-in, ski-out accommodation. The chalets are exclusively located in a tranquil area higher up the mountain approximately 500m from the bustling centre of the Alpe d'Huez resort, where numerous bars restaurants and boutiques can be found, as well as a swimming pool, leisure centre, ice rink and cinema.

The chalets are a short walk from Les Bergers, where our ski hire shop is conveniently located and a free shuttle bus runs frequently to the resort centre.

A charming and peaceful base, ski direct from your front door to the gentle slopes bordering the resort, which are ideal for beginners. More experienced skiers can venture straight out to the lifts at Les Bergers, giving you direct access to the larger Alpe d'Huez ski area.

Beautifully furnished, each of the chalets are decorated in the traditional Savoyarde style, with large fireplaces, wood and stone interiors and deep colours giving the rooms a warm feel. There is plenty of space in all of the rooms, with a large open-plan living area with a fireplace and satellite television.

An American kitchen with all the modern amenities, including hotplates, an oven and a microwave oven, a dishwasher, extractor fan and fridge, plus all crockery and pans, allows guests to cook and eat as and when they should want. The chalets offer guests total comfort and space, sleeping up to 16 people, with multiple en-suite bathrooms and toilets. Each of the chalets offers its own private balcony or terrace providing panoramic views of the mountains plus a private sauna in which to unwind.

There are food shops within walking distance, and the centre of the resort is just a 500m walk or free shuttle bus ride away

From high-end restaurants to casual pizzerias and mountain hot dog cafés, Alpe d'Huez offers plenty of variety for places to eat. When the sun sets, Alpe d'Huez is just waking up. Enjoy a good selection of places to unwind or party, from pubs to live music and clubs that stay open until the early hours of the morning.
