Shop 1.2 km, grocery 900 m, bus stop "Kehr" 200 m, railway station 1.5 km, outdoor swimming pool 1.4 km. Cable car 4 km, gondola lift 1.2 km, skisport facilities 1.2 km, cross country ski track 50 m. Nearby attractions: Oeschinensee, Blausee. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Adelboden - Lenk, Nordic Arena Kandersteg. Hiking paths: Sunnbüel - Gemmi, Lötschental. There are two small ski areas, which can be accessed from the Oeschinen gondola (about a 15 minute walk from the centre) and the Sunnbüel cable car (reachable by bus). Oeschinen is the bigger of the two, home to Oeschiland with its children’s and beginner’s slopes and a total of 12km of red and blue pistes. A lot of the restaurants and bars here are part of hotels – like the Bernerhof which is brilliant for a sophisticated supper (save room for the Meringue Chantilly dessert).
