· 3 minutes' walk to the resort centre · 2 minutes' walk to the St Johann gondola, Schneewinkel ski bus stop, nursery slopes and ski school meeting point
The Park is a superstar of a hotel, run by Seppi Grander and his wonderful team.
Let’s start with the food: good quality home-cooked dishes that sum up Austrian cuisine brilliantly. From tasty soups and consommés to hearty schnitzels and strudels. Plus, the breakfast spread will have you rolling out onto the slopes if you aren’t too careful. All the essentials are present including cereals, breads and fruit - plus eggs and bacon to get you fully warmed up for the day.
Location-wise you’re onto a winner too. The Park is fairly central at the top of the high street – five minutes on foot is the most you’ll ever really need to travel for bars, slopes or ski buses.
The rooms are spacious and bright – and many have balconies, so you can enjoy the sunset if you make it back from après in time. Or you could always head up to the small wellness area on the top floor with a sauna/steam bath and an infrared cabin.
The bar is always popular – and very well priced, which helps it to keep a cheery and fun atmosphere. And with free WiFi throughout the hotel, you can stay in touch with home and share your holiday pictures.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
