Hotel Lux Alpinae Summary

The Lux Alpinae is one of St Anton’s most modern hotels, with a cool mix of glass, concrete, light wood and neutral colours – and it still has that warm, welcoming feel that Austria’s known for.

The rooms are stylish and spacious, and they’ve all got a balcony so you can take in beautiful views of the Rendl mountain. Plus, when you’re done skiing for the day, you can head down to the wellness area to unwind in the sauna, steam room and relaxation room.

As for location, it’s a short walk to the pedestrianised centre of St Anton and the Rendl gondola. And instead of carrying your skis and boots around, you can store them for free near the gondola station.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh).
