Chalet Maroi Summary

The Maroi is a super penthouse chalet-apartment in a truly brilliant location, just a few steps up from the main Galzig and Rendl bubble lifts. The many bars, restaurants and shops of this wonderful Tyrolean town are just a short stroll away. Situated on the second and top floors of and attractive chalet, it offers spacious comfortable accommodation for groups of up to eight. The wonderful open plan living/dining room has a cathedral window overlooking the Rendl slopes and with its contemporary cutting edge up to date design, it really does provide the perfect home in which to relax after a hard day on the slopes.

The four bedrooms are all ensuite and there is even the added benefit of a building sauna on the ground floor - always helpful for the weary legs of those brave enough to take on the summit of Valluga! All in all, The Maroi is a superb property and a hugely popular part of our programme. It is one of the first chalets to sell out each season therefore you'll need to be quick! You will be warmly welcomed by one of our friendly chalet hosts who will also benefit from the occasional help from one of our combi-hosts - they live ins separate accommodation in the same building.

Did You Know... Maroi is a private Conservancy in the Limpopo area of Botswana, famous for its huge numbers of elephant and diverse and rich wildlife.

MEALS AT Chalet Maroi, St Anton

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...
