Overview: chalet description: Chalech M description

A decadent six-bedroom chalet with private spa facilities, outstanding views, and easy access to the lifts

Recently completed, this fabulous chalet dazzles with the wow-factor and is certain to be a favourite on our stunning Lech portfolio. Chalech M overflows with cool, contemporary style, but generous use of rich wood and sensitive lighting throughout ensure a timeless alpine style. Sleeping up to 14 guests in six lush bedrooms, it is the perfect sanctuary for families or friends seeking exceptional accommodation in the picture-postcard resort of Lech.

The luxury chalet is one of five in the newly completed Chalech residence, just a ten-minute stroll from the village centre and a three-minute walk from the Schlosskopf chairlift. The building houses a gym, indoor swimming pool and tepidarium, shared by all chalets, a fantastic addition to the private spa facilities that the chalet boasts.

All floors of the chalet are accessed either by lift or stairs. The main entrance brings you onto the top floor, the graceful living space that will invite guests to spend slow evenings together indulging in the decadent yet cosy space. Wood panelled walls and rich fabrics bring warmth and texture to a soothing palette of greys. In the centre of the open plan living and dining room is a striking wood-burning fireplace, set on a statement marble block, enclosed by glass, with a bronze flue that reaches to the ceiling. This stylish feature is enjoyed by guests gathered in the sophisticated living area and also when sitting in the spacious dining room.

Views of the imposing mountain scenery are enjoyed though the large panelled windows and a large sliding door provides access from the living room onto a magnificent semi-enclosed deck enhanced with chic and comfortable furniture. A heater lamp here makes this the ideal spot to enjoy the final hours of the day as the daylight softens and the lights of Lech illuminate the foreground.

As darkness falls, the sumptuous interiors provide the perfect setting for staying in. The large dining table seats up to 12 guests in comfortable yet elegant chairs. A spectacular chandelier, reminiscent of a collection of stalactites, hangs above the table, adding a sense of drama to the room. A sleek, modern fully-equipped kitchen stretches back from the dining area, with liberal cupboards and drawers, as well as a dedicated wine cabinet, to keep the space clutter-free. The central island has stool-seating for four persons.

Behind the living area is a snug TV room, equipped with deep sofas, plump cushions and a large screen television. An ideal place for ski-weary children to cosy up with a movie while the adults share stories from their day. A guest WC is also located on this top level.

Descending to the middle floor, you will find three en-suite bedrooms. The first is the master suite, a capacious room that is guaranteed to impress, not least with incredible views framed by floor to ceiling glass windows through which sunlight spills in by day. Take in the landscape from the sumptuous king-sized bed or from the free-standing bathtub that commands attention in the open-plan bathroom which includes a huge shower, his ‘n hers sinks and a TV. A bio ethanol fireplace, positioned between the bedroom and the bathroom, warms the sensual space. A private balcony can be accessed via the bedroom and the bathroom. Exquisite lighting completes this sanctuary, which includes an immense walk-through cupboard, a desk area, mounted TV as well as a cosy reading nook.

No detail has been spared in the further two bedrooms on this floor, in fact all bedrooms in Chalech M will delight with their individual flair, united by their attention to comfort and space. There is a twin/double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. The bedroom includes a desk, TV, and a spacious walk-through cupboard. Across the hallway is a twin/double bedroom also featuring an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and the bedroom is finished with a desk, TV and a walk-through cupboard.

Going down another floor, you will find a further three bedrooms as well as the spa, with superb facilities. The designer has kept the palette fairly neutral in the sleeping spaces with a tasteful dusting of muted colour that sets each apart. There are a further two twin/double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and separate showers, TVs, walk-through cupboards and desks. Generous cupboards and large bathrooms mean guests can truly spread out. One of these bedrooms has terrace access and a bubble spa bath. The last of the bedrooms is a quadruple bunk bedroom, decorated in a warming highland theme, an idyllic hideaway for kids and equally comfortable for adults (all beds measure 200 x 90cm). All the bedrooms have safes, as well as TVs with Netflix. All are wired for Sonos, and all wardrobes are illuminated.

Beyond the bedrooms is the tranquil spa which features a sauna and a hammam, as well as a reclining area, rain shower and terrace access. After a day on the slopes, weary muscles will be revived in this fantastic space. Or guests can push themselves further with a work out in the residence's shared gym or with some lengths in the shared indoor pool.

Guests staying in Chalech M have access to a shared ski and boot room with lockers allocated to the chalet and boot warmers. They also have access to laundry facilities. The residence is close to three bus stops with buses passing frequently, making it very convenient for accessing the slopes and the town.

Known as one of the classic ski resorts, Lech is part of the ‘Best of the Alps’ group. Also crowned 2004’s Prettiest Village in Europe, it oozes traditional alpine charm with the bonus of a world-class ski area and some of the best snow in the Alps. The resort’s superior status in the skiing world has made it a favourite of the rich and Royal for decades – Princess Di used to ski here and sharing a chairlift with Tom Cruise or Vladimir Putin is a real possibility... The uber-posh town has an exclusive feel,...
This is famously the setting of the hilarious skiing scene in ‘Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason’, although you won’t have any Bridget-like disasters on the piste if you take advantage of the excellent instruction and beginner slopes on offer. You’ll find some lovely nursery slopes behind the village church (you can’t miss it) and up around Oberlech to practice on until you feel confident enough to take the Schlegelkpof and explore some brilliant gentle terrain for skiers and snowboarders. With oodles of...
Jägertee (rum, black tea and spices) is the local’s drink of choice, making it a must-try when you’re back from the slopes. Most of the nightlife here reflects Lech’s status as a first class resort, with venues emitting high-end and exclusive feel. While it doesn’t have the same legendary reputation as the après in neighbouring St Anton, you can still find a brilliant variety of venues offering a mix of the traditional and contemporary – chop and change between traditional tea dances and late night clubbi...
