Cortina is a traditional resort with lots of old architecture, which means that self-catering apartments aren’t as readily on offer as you’d find in purpose built resorts. If Cortina is tugging at your heartstrings and you’re happy to consider a different type of holiday, Chalet Hotel Parc Victoria is well located near the ski gondola for Faloria. When you factor in that breakfast, dinner and wine are included in most chalet holidays (as well as flights and transfers…), you might find that a catered option actually works out better value than self-catering. If you prefer the flexibility and home-away-from-home that self-catering apartments offer, you might want to stay in the more modern Italian resorts of Sestriere or Livigno.
