Alternatively a lot of the restaurants in resort do special festive menus so you can enjoy a traditional Swiss Christmas meal or a good old-fashioned British dinner with all the trimmings.
Nendaz and Veysonnaz offer a quieter but no less authentic Christmas experience, with a friendly village atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. Being less well-known amongst British holidaymakers, they also have the added bonus of being less congested and cheaper that the ever-popular Verbier.
The snow conditions are usually very good around the 4 Valleys in late December, thanks to many high-altitude runs, the constantly reliable Mont-Fort glacier at over 3000m and plenty of snow-cannons just in case!
