The village of Westendorf has a quaint, traditional Austrian feel to it and although I wouldn't recommend it for those with Après Ski at the top of their list, it really delivers when it comes to the ski area.
We're really into freestyle and the "Big Playground" snowpark is the best of the bunch across the Skiwelt. There are multiple lines, ranging from tiny green bumps to decent 30ft+ kickers with boxes, rails and jibs throughout.
We found a decent amount of interesting freeride lines as well, and on the days we wanted to cover some ground, we had the rest of the Skiwelt area!

This was our first time in Westendorf. The Austrian resorts have spent a lot of money on lifts and the skiing was good, we took an extra day in a different resort (can’t remember what it was called) but it was easy to get to. The skiing in Westendorf itself is fine, some nice scenic bits.

The town is small, you can walk up and down in 10 minutes and you’ve seen everything. This makes it very quiet, which was one of the preferences for me, it depends what you prefer but if that’s what you're looking for it’s perfect. I did snowboarding and the area has quite a few things to do. The snowboarding overall was good though and there’s a park as well if you want to try that.
It was nice weather in one way (a warm 18°C all week) but slightly unlucky that in the second half of the day, the snow conditions were quite disappointing. It depends on your level if Westendorf is good for you, typically experts or advanced levels would naturally go somewhere else. Otherwise, you have quite a network of slopes and you can interchange from one to another. The ski pass covers a massive area but you can still upgrade to another ski pass for even more kilometres.
