1 review of Mayrhofen Guesthouses in Mayrhofen, Austria.

The accommodation was as we were expecting, large and beautifully clean. They were very basic, but as long as you didn’t want a TV they were fine.
They were perhaps further out of town than we were expecting, but we’d booked it last minute days before so it’s no-one’s fault. It was about a 15-minute walk into town, but we’re walkers so it was fine for us. Other people weren’t keeping their skis at the lifts though, and if I’d had to carry my skis from the accommodation I’d have been moaning like anything. Had it not been for the ski storage the walk would have been a lot more difficult.
The biggest issue was that when we arrived they weren’t very welcoming, but rather fairly surly.
The other thing was that we had a half board meal deal, and alongside everyone else staying there, we found ourselves being passed around a lot on the first day when it came to mealtimes. At first we were put in a miserable corner that felt a bit locked off to one side, then we were moved closer to the bar which was a lot better.
But the real oddity was that we weren’t greeted with a smile – everything else was absolutely brilliant.
