Good value - you get what you pay for

If you’re young and partying, you’d do quite well here as it’s very noisy... but you get what you pay for and we got a really good deal. We chose self catering as my wife is a vegetarian and the restaurants around Europe don’t cater well for veggies, there’s a big supermarket as well as all the local delicatessens and patisseries, so you can get everything you need nearby.
There was a group of 50 or so French students staying opposite who were going until about 3/4/5 o’clock in the morning. At the end of the day we could have ended up staying on a different floor and not heard a thing - it all depends on who else is staying there when you are. It didn’t ruin our holiday at all which is the important thing, and I would go back if the price was alright.
The actual setting is perfect as it’s right in the middle of Alpe d’Huez.
I’d definitely recommend that you take your own pillows as what they have isn’t very substantial (and also earplugs if you had noise like we did).
