1 review of Hotel Taxacher in Kirchberg, Austria.

We managed to get a very good offer with SNO, it’s a 3 star hotel and it was good for a 3 star – nothing exceptional but very good value. I wouldn’t say anything critical about it and would recommend it if you’re there for the skiing. Our twin bedroom was absolutely fine. The food was very Austrian which we enjoyed, it wasn’t anything outstanding but it was good enough (although the puddings weren’t great).
The ski bus stop is just outside – the reps told us to get off at the Maierlbahn lift but it’s much easier to stay on the bus a little longer and use the Fleckalmbahn, which takes you straight up to the top (the Maierlbahn stops halfway and you have to ski around and down to another lift to reach the top – not great for beginners).
You also need the bus to reach village if you need the supermarket etc. – the village is a couple of kilometres away which would probably be too far to walk in the winter.
