Best located hotel in Sauze

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only issue we had was that our flight was delayed so we didn’t arrive until later on. The coach stand is outside the village (which we didn’t realise was car free) and we had to traipse in a foot of snow with all our luggage. They did stay up to serve us dinner which was nice, and when we woke up we realised that the long walk was worth it as we were right at the bottom of the slopes! You come to the end of the main slope and there’s a little path down to the hotel which you could ski down.

A new family have taken over the hotel and it does definitely need an update and a bit of maintenance. We had a nice little suite but the furniture was basic. They did say they were going to do the place up floor by floor, so some bits might be done by now.
The food was good – a nice mix of Italian dishes and other stuff as the cook was Romanian. You had a couple of choices that you could pick one of the night before. They catered well to early starts if people had to leave to get to the airport they were quite happy to get up and make you breakfast.
There’s supposed to be a night club next door but I didn’t even notice it!
