1 review of Hotel Ducs de Savoie (1850) in Courchevel, France.

The hotel was in a fantastic position for skiing, I’ve been to hotels like this before and very rarely do you have breakfast, step outside, and have your skis placed out on the snow for you... then when you come back, you unclip and they take your skis in!
The food was very, very good – for my taste it was a little formal and I would have liked to have something a bit less posh, we had a 4-5 course meal and it was like silver service. We didn’t drink anyway because we skied so much, but if I’d been here with my wife, it would have been nice to have some cheaper wine... the cheapest bottle here was £45!
There’s a very nice bar and lounge area.
We had a twin room which was very good for a ski resort, perfectly adequate with a good bathroom. It could maybe have done with a slight refurb given the standard of the hotel. It wasn’t a problem for us but I can imagine how someone might have fancied a posher room.
It could not be easier to get out to the slopes, I’ve done an awful lot of skiing in my life and never been anywhere where it was any easier – you just walk out the back onto the slopes.
